Too bad the Libertarian Party isn’t listed.

I’m sorry, but anyone still considering McCain is a complete fool. He is a hot-headed idiot. He has a bad temper, and makes impulse decisions. Don’t even get me started with Palin.

Obama isn’t perfect—just last night he lied to America. But still… he’s a way better candidate and seems to be a more well-mannered person.

If McCain somehow magically wins this election, I think I’ll commit suicide.

    No parties are listed happy

  4. forrest says:

Ok, you know what I mean. The Libertarian CANDIDATE. =)

  5. neil says:

The votes show that the vast majority of non-Americans would vote Obama and that’s good. But on the other hand I’m sure the vast majority of non-Italians wouldn’t have voted Berlusconi whose waxworks model has been cavorting with your President in recent days as you may have seen on your television screens. And yet the Italians voted for the supercilious grin and hair transplanted media mogul en masse. So make of that what you will.

  6. chiQ says:

    Yeah, I know. I couldn’t resist tongue

I’ve put a note about the minimal options in the blog. The upshot is that though the less prominent parties are part of the election process they’re not likely to be in the top two, and it’s the margins between the top two that are really of interest, so ‘other’ is there to cover the undecided and voters for the outliers.

If only Ron Paul was still in it.

    sad

A.) The purpose of this poll is?

B.) These people only see what the Media shows them, and all the media shows anyone is Obama = Messiah, McCain = Bush clone. I agree, Bush is a tool and pretty much a flaming wreckage of a president. But Obama is far more dangerous than McCain in my opinion, partly because this nation, and obviously the entire world, is so in love with him.

C.) Choosing one of the primary candidates over the other in this election is just choosing the lesser of two evils. Everyone glorifies Obama, but his shady friendships (which DO mean something. Trying to claim they don’t is intentional ignorance. Some mean more than others, and I don’t know which, but the fact that Obama can be connected to some of the people he is in any way is alarming) and personal philosophies (possible racism/ connection with Islam. Once again, I don’t know which suggestion is closest to the truth, but the fact that people can still argue about this at all is, once again, very alarming). Think about this long and hard, because if you simply trust this man’s word — the word of a politician, as-a-matter-of-fact — and vote him into the worlds most powerful (waning) office, and it turns out that he was deceiving you (this is an election, and as I said earlier, these are politicians, of course both of them are deceiving you)… I don’t know, it’s not the future I want.

I don’t think this election is as important as everyone says it is. These two candidates aren’t that different. I personally see this election as proof of the clusterf*ck that is America’s media-driven political and democratic system.

  9. anonymous says:

    1) They both look a bit shady so I wouldnt vote for either of them.

    2) I would be up for a threesome with Sarah Palin and Tina Fey.

    3) Other than that I couldnt give a shit.

  10. chubz says:

Obama is a more recognizable figure, so it’s no surprise that more people choose to vote for him. Me, personally? I don’t know what the fuck to say or who to vote for. It’s just a big mess I’m staying out of for the time being.

  11. ed van straaten says:

Democracy is one of the worst political systems and still the people in the Western world preaches it like the gospel. Personally I wouldn’t vote, I believe in anarchism, I’ve yet to made my mind up fully which type of system would work the best. At the moment it is not exactly the most practical, but democracy can’t exactly proclaim the same.

You give people power and they abuse it. There shouldn’t be governments.

  12. anonymous says:

Democracy is a fraud. Don’t waste your time voting in the Presidential election. Both of the major candidates are puppets who have vowed to continue the same failed policies of the last few Presidents.

  13. anonymous says:

People ranting about democracy– the United States is NOT a democracy. Please get this straight. We are a constitutional republic.

  14. anonymous says:

Obama voted with the Democrats 97% of the time. McCain voted with the Republican’s 79% of the time (look it up). Obama is a socialist leaning towards Marxist who does nothing but tote the party-line (when he votes something other than “present”.

The thought that if they win a super-majority in the Senate, Obama, Pelosi and Reid will run this country’s government for at least 2 years is scarry.

Most people who come here are probably too young to remember the economy under Carter and his massive taxes on the “rich” that Reagan had to finally lower after huge inflation, massive unempoloyment, and interest rates through the roof (15%+ home mortgages, for example).

This is what we’re in store for and everyone thinks this guy is so great. Well, we’re about to get just what we’ve asked for…. hang on…

  15. anonymous says:

If you liked Ron Paul, check out Cynthia Mckinney running for the green party.

Here she is post-911, grilling Rumsfeld about him announcing that the Pentagon ‘lost’ $2.3 trillion of taxpayers money (he did this on CNN on sept 10th 2001), and other stuff…
    http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=mckinney+rumsfeld&emb=0&aq=f#

McCain is bad, Obama is probably not much better (listen to his speeches to the rich/lobbyists), but let’s hope he is another Kennedy, who decided to do the right things after he was elected.
Also, both are in bed with their backers, both voted blindly for the bailout.

  16. anonymous says:

Realize that this poll is flawed since the people voting in it are obviously adept at using the internet. Clearly, there are more Obama supporters than McCain supporters on the web.

  17. anonymous says:

    Obama wins… nuff said munchkins!

  18. anonymous says:

YESS!! PRESIDENT OBAMA! big grin big grin

  19. anonymous says:

You Obamatron followers are morons as well as the McSame zombies.

You want to know who will really be running the show?

    Zbigniew Brzezinski

    Hope your happy, kids!

  20. anonymous says:

no hope for USA.. Obama or Mccain. now Obama, the same circus for the world. but now world hate much more the US. this country lie, kill and show a freak culture a long, long time. is time to burn.

  21. littlesamson says:

The government is slowly taking over more and more parts of our lives (e.g. national healthcare). What’s next? Government video games (http://www.americasarmy.com/)?

If you believe in freedom, and have suspicions about our government, turn off the tv and please read all 150 pages of Ron Paul’s “Revolution” (http://tinyurl.com/57xnko). It’s not boring! There’s a reason so many people like what he’s saying. Think of each page as a frag against the people trying to suppress your mind into apathy.
